We are a leader in automated, on-line
bulk density monitoring systems. Our patented technology measures the
bulk density of dry-flowing products with a frequency, consistency and
accuracy that is superior to other sampling methods. Call us for more
information about how we can give you the instant bulk density feedback
you need.
Our Mission
Customers satisfied with our efforts to help them improve their
processing operations is our first priority. We commit our resources and
expertise to achieve this goal.
Company Profile
III Sigma is a leader in automated, on-line bulk density monitoring
systems. Our patented systems measure bulk density of dry-flowing
products with a frequency, consistency, and accuracy that other sampling
methods can't.
Our customer list includes numerous Fortune
100 companies from the following categories: Cereals, Grains,
Fertilizers, Metal Powders, Pet Foods, Pharmaceuticals, Plastics,
Polystyrene, Snack Foods, Wood Products, and others.
Many of our customers realize dramatic cost
savings with the Reliadens™ system. Why? Response times for process
corrections are more timely, start-up to to good product happens very
quickly, scrap rates are reduced, and packaging material can be reduced.
Company History
III Sigma was founded in 1993. The first monitoring system was shipped
in late 1994. Brian Marlow, the company founder, spent 18 years in dry
process production plants (pet foods and cereals) wrestling with bulk
density sampling issues.
In Brian's experience, when a bulk density sample had a value outside of
prescribed limits, questioning about problems with the test methods
diverted attention from the real issues of getting and keeping the
process under control.
While these "test/tester or process/product" debates ensued, tons of
suspect product were cascading down the lines, and production could
never reach peak outputs.
He decided to do something about the problem when, in response to his
request to an employee for a bulk density sample, he heard "Sure
Boss....what number do you want?".
Failing to find a straightforward, simple solution that didn't involve
radiation, he decided to develop the solution himself. The Reliadens is
the result of these 15 years plus an additional five years of research,
development, and prototype testing to perfect today's Reliadens.
