Plug
Null
cable
into
COM1 on
the back
of the
Reliadens
controller.

Plug the
other
end of
the
cable
into the
serial
communication
port on
your PC.

Go to
the
"Accessories"
in
Windows.
|
|
7. |
Choose
HyperTerminal.
|
|
8. |
Choose
HyperTerminal.EXE.
|
|

The
program
will ask
you to
name the
file,
type in
the name
you
wish.

Choose
an icon.
|
|
11. |
Click on
OK.
|

12. |
The
Phone
Number
screen
will
appear.

Go to:
Connect
Using
Line..
|
|

Choose
which
port on
the pc
that the
Null
cable is
plugged
into.
(Example
COM1).

Click on
OK.

The COM1
Properties
screen
will
appear.

Enter
the
following
data on
given
lines:
Bits per
second =
9600
Data
bits = 8
Parity =
NONE
Stop
Bits = 1
Flow
Control
= XON/XOFF

Click on
OK.

When you
close
the
terminal,
it will
ask you
if you
would
like to
save
settings.
If you
choose
YES, the
icon
that you
chose
will
appear
on the
screen.
If you
choose
NO, you
will
have to
reset
all
these
points
the next
time you
want to
set-up
the data
acquisition.
