How To Enter NVOL! Statements for the Reliadens™ Controller
Entering NVOL! (Non-Volatile Memory)
statements can be done by using a laptop or PC unit connected to COM2 on
the back of the Controller. The communications cable 9 to 24 pin is
provided with each unit. The statements are numbered 1 through 16 as of
January 8, 1998. These values do not have to be re-entered if a new
program is downloaded. All of the NVOL!'s are assigned a "title".
As an example NVOL!(101) may represent the Calibration Constant that the
Controller uses to figure the bulk density value. All of the NVOL!'s are
numerical values. The NVOL!'s "titles" are always the same from one
machine to another.
Example for Sampler #1:
NVOL!(
1 01)=##value##
NVOL!(
1 01)=##value##
ECT............
NVOL!(
1 16)=##value## |
If you have
two to four samplers running off of
one control unit, each of them has
their own set of NVOL!'s.
Example
for Sampler #2:
NVOL!( 2 01) = ##value##
NVOL!( 2 02) = ##value##
ETC.......
NVOL!( 2 16) = ##value##
|
Example
for Sampler #3:
NVOL!( 3 01) = ##value##
NVOL!( 3 02) = ##value##
ETC.......
NVOL!( 3 16) = ##value##

Follow these
instructions to
enter the new NVOL!
statements that you
require. The
instructions are
based on one
sampler. Simply use
an NVOL!( 2
__)= statement for
sampler #2 and a
NVOL!( 3 __)=
statement for
sampler #3.
