Using Your Calibration Weight

These steps assume that the unit is already in the operation mode. The unit should be in a normal operating environment and should be allowed to "warm-up" for 10-15 minutes before testing.

1.

Press F6 (RETUR) Result: The start -up screen will appear.

2.

To return to the start-up screen press at any time during this process press F6 (RETUR). WARNING: Make sure weight is out of cup when doing so.

3.

Press F4 (CALIB) Result: The "Zeroing Screen" will appear.

4.

Wait for the screen to read all zeros. If the unit does not read all zeros, check Chapter #4 (Hardware Calibration) in manual. Do NOT change the constant to compensate for any electronic or mechanical issues. Always be sure that the load cell, tare board, amplifier module are operating within normal parameters.

5.

To continue with the calibration process press F3 (CALIB). You will have to hold it for about 4 seconds. Result: The "Remove Weight Now" screen will appear. This is done to remind you to make sure the cup is empty.

6.

Press F2 (REMOVE). Result: The "System is zeroing/ have no weight in cup" screen will appear.

7.

After the system zeros itself (about 5 seconds) you will see the "Add weight now" screen.

8.

Gently place the weight into the sample cup.

9.

Press F4 (ADDED) Result: The "Weight check screen" will appear.

10.

The weight displayed should be very close to the actual weight in the cup. You should write down all samples in case you want to use them to adjust the constant. Write down the actual weight of the test weight and the Reliadens weight in the same form. For example gms/l to gms/l or gms to gms etc...

11.

If you are finished and you do NOT want to change anything go to steps #10-#11.

12.

If you would like to test the unit again go to step #12.

13.

If you would like to adjust the constant, you will need to collect 2 more pairs of data. To do that, repeat the test 2 more times starting with step #12. After you have 3 sets of data go to step #14.

14.

Remove the weight from the cup and press F6 (RETUR). Result: You will see a screen which allows you to press F5 "return to the program" or press F3 "software calibration".

15.

Press F5 to return to the main program. You are now finished and you can proceed with normal operation.

16.

Press F4 (AGAIN). Result: The "Remove weight now" screen will appear.

17.

Remove the weight and then press F2 (REMOV). Result: The "System is zeroing/ have no weight in cup" screen will appear.

18.

Start the next test beginning with step #6.

19.

If you want to adjust the constant, please go to Chapter #5 (Software Calibration) in your manual. Follow the steps on entering 3 pairs of data points.
